Course Summary
Sometimes known as the TAQA (Training, Assessment and Quality Assurance), this is a modern, recognised Level 3 assessing vocational achievement certification that came to replace the previous A1\2 and D32\33 assessor qualification.
By the end of this course, you will be ready for a career in evaluating vocational competencies for a range of qualifications, such as apprenticeships, functional skills, teaching certificates, NVQs, awards, certificates and diplomas.
As Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) is a distance learning course, you will study from home and therefore have the freedom to fit your studies around your family life and other commitments.
You can make the most out of the course’s interactive materials we provide with open access to knowledgeable tutors via email, phone and the online portal.
On average learners will take between 3 - 5 months to complete this course.
Requirements
No previous experience or qualifications are required to enrol on this course; it is available to all students who are least 19 years of age.
During this course, you will be required to secure a placement in a relevant environment; the team at Direction Learning ltd can advise more on this and support you in the best way forward.
For the second and third assignments, you will need to secure your placement or position which will allow you to have access to the assessment to nationally regulated qualifications (for example: NVQ units, RQF Qualifications, etc.) for one visit per unit. If you require more, our learndirect team can guide you through.

Unit Two: Assess occupational competence in the work environment
Unit Three: Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding
● Unit 1 will be assessed through a variety of assignments.
● Unit 2 will be assessed in a work environment, practically assessing learners work, you will produce work products and audio visual evidence
● Unit 3 will be assessed through you producing work products and audio visual evidence after you assess learners in a classroom or training environment.
